PhD researcher in the department of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) since 2021. She focuses on the religiosity of stateless nations and the relationship between nationalism and religion with a comparative perspective.
Her ongoing PhD research that Avi Astor supervises is on `Kurdish Religious Identity amid the Intensification of Nationalized Islam in Turkey.`
She has been a research member of the Istanbul Youth Research Center since 2022. She graduated in Sociology from Yeditepe University in 2016 and received a dual master's degree in Public International Law from Paris 8 Saint-Denis University and RULE University in 2019.
She has also worked on various research projects on youth and politics in Turkey.
