The international journal Religions, dedicated to the multidisciplinary study of religion, recently published a special issue on the trajectories of global Pentecostalism. Wilson Muñoz, PhD candidate at EHESS and associated to ISOR, together with Esther Fernández, ISOR researcher and UAB Sociology professor, were invited to participate in this issue. In their article entitled “Stigmatization and Ritual: An Analysis of the Stigmatization of Pentecostalism in Chile”, the authors show, from the analysis of historical sources, the importance of the ritual dimension to understand the beginnings of this religious movement and its early stigmatization by Chilean society in general. The article is open in the journal’s website.
